Amruta Khanvilkar: Even before I and Himanshoo got married, I used to fast for him on ‘Karva Chauth'. It's a different feeling post-marriage. This year, it is very special as my mother-in-law will be flying down from Delhi. I am looking forward to performing ‘Karva Chauth’, under her guidance in a traditional way. I am planning to wear my wedding attire, complete with chooda. I haven’t decided yet what gift I want from Himanshoo. Knowing him, I am sure he will definitely get me something special. ‘Karva Chauth’, is an occasion where husband and wife can spend some time with each other and come closer.

Riddhi Dogra: Since my family is in Delhi, every ‘Karva Chauth’, I, Raqesh, my brother and Bhabhi (sister-in-law) go to my Mausi’s place at 4 in the morning and hog as much food as possible. In all these years, there has been no change in this routine. Raqesh also fasts with me. For me, ‘Karva Chauth’ is an age old tradition which talks about love between husband and wife. Being a complete foodie, to keep a fast for Raqesh, shows how much l love him. As a gift, more than anything I would love to go on a vacation with my dear husband to Turkey or Bali.

Ankita Bhargava Patel: I am super excited to perform my first ‘Karva Chauth’. I have seen my mother do it since childhood. I look forward to carry forward the tradition. We will be going to our family friend’s house for early evening pooja. The night pooja will be performed at my in-law’s place. My mother will be sending me ‘sargi’ early morning before I start fasting. I will be wearing a lovely red bandhani sari that my mother-in-law has gifted me. Though at my parents’ house, we used to have all typical north-Indian delicacies, at my in-law's place, the menu might differ a bit. I don’t want any specific gift from Karan as we had just returned from a 6 day massive shopping spree in Dubai. The poor guy has already given his ‘Karva Chauth’ gift to me advance.

Aishwarya Sakhuja: This will be my first 'Karva Chauth'. My mother-in-law has planned everything including a special surprise for me. I will definitely be wearing something from my trousseau. Though I have never insisted but my darling husband Rohit will observe the fast with me. I am not a materialistic girl. I am not into jewellery or clothes. Since both of us are travel junkies, we love to explore new places. This what I would love to have as a 'Karva Chauth' gift. I can't stay without food for long but sacrificing water has great significance. This itself talks about the extent of our love.

Sargun Mehta: ‘Karva Chauth’ reminds me of this funny incident. Ravi and I were fasting while shooting for our respective shows. By the time both of us packed up and headed home to break our fast, we suffered with a major acidity attack. We stopped at a nearby restaurant and ate. Both my mother and mother-in-law observe ‘Karva Chauth’ religiously so we too followed their tradition. According to me, small thoughtful gestures which speak volumes about your love for your partner are more valuable than fasting one day in a year. This year, both of us will be in different cities due to work commitment so haven’t planned anything yet.
